Debbi Flann is the Executive Director of the Intersect Youth and Family Services Society. She was born in Vancouver and raised in Chilliwack, but has made Prince George her home since 1989. Debbi is married to her recently retired husband John Flann and is the proud mother of her son Tyler, a conductor with CNR, and her daughter Rebecca, a writer and volunteer. She is also the happy, new grandmother to Reese Alexandra who was born earlier this year.
Debbi works with the Intersect Youth and Family Services Society because of the amazing people that work for the organization and the resiliency and courage in the children and youth that the organization serves. She admires the determination of the staff and their passion and commitment to the well being of children, youth and families.
The Intersect Youth and Family Services’ mission is to develop, coordinate and deliver a comprehensive range of services to youth, children and families in Northern British Columbia. The organization offers voluntary counseling for children and youth under the age of 19 years and a wide variety of programs to clients and their families at no cost. Intersect strives to meet the needs of their clients; model the way for future programs; build partnerships within the community and region; and sustain and develop a positive learning environment for its staff.
The organization is located in a heritage building at 1294 3rd Avenue, Prince George. Please contact them at 250-562-6639 for further information.
Intersect Youth and Family Services Society provides multiple programs, including Children’s Comprehensive Resource Program for children and youth with mental health issues, New Directions Program for at-risk-youth with the law, and Parents Together for parents in need of support.
Intersect is a non-profit organization that is funded through the Ministry of Children and Family Development and the Prince George United Way but it also relies on charitable donations.
