Gina Purchase is the assistant project manager for L&M Engineering Limited. Gina was born in Vancouver and raised in Prince George. In 1997, she and her spouse moved from Prince George to Kelowna where she attended the Civil Engineer Technology Program at the Okanagan University College (OUC). After spending a period of time working in the construction industry in Victoria, she and her husband decided to move back to Prince George in 2005 to be closer to family and friends. At this point she began working for L&M Engineering Limited.

Gina was exposed to the construction industry at a young age through her parents’ professions. Her father is an industrial painter and her mother works for Canadian Forest Products. After high school, she learned about the Civil Engineering Technology Program through a friend who was enrolled at OUC. Gina says her work for L&M Engineering Limited is challenging and rewarding. During a project she is responsible for liaising with clients, engineers, contractors, city/municipal staff and inspectors. She is also responsible for developing civil designs and overseeing their on-site construction. It is the balance and constantly changing environment of her work that most appeals to her.
