Boyanne Young is the Regional Coordinator for the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) in Prince George. Born in Burns Lake, Boyanne was raised in Prince George after moving to the city in 1957. Boyanne and her husband of 36 years Keith have two sons and two grand-children.
Boyanne has always been a volunteer and through her work with Volunteer Prince George she once helped the CDA find volunteers. When a position for a part-time coordinator opened up with the Diabetes Association, Boyanne was pleased to accept it. Eventually that role developed into the full-time regional position that it is today. Boyanne has now worked in this role for 11 years, working tirelessly with volunteers for healthier communities in the north.

The Canadian Diabetes Association promotes the health of Canadians through diabetes research, education, service and advocacy. People interested in becoming volunteers with the local CDA or donating can visit the office or call 561-9284.
