“As the newest Senior Centre in town we are hoping to grow.  Come and join us!”
- Bob D'auray

Bob D’auray has recently been elected the President of the North Central Seniors Association (NCSA).  Born and raised in the Ottawa/Hull area, he has lived in Prince George for more than 30 years after moving here in 1973.  He lives with his wife, Lorraine, and has a daughter, Michelle.

He joined the organization when it was experiencing some challenges and has helped revitalize it with the move to College Heights.  He says he enjoys the friendships he’s forged and being able to provide service for people.

The purpose of the NCSA is to provide seniors a place where they can meet, receive hot meals and get help with any issues they’re experiencing.  The Association provides a variety of different recreational and educational activities for their clients such as: carpet bowling, cards, darts, photography, various crafts, beginner computer classes and access to a small library.

They are located in the old Gladstone School at 7005 Gladstone Avenue and can be reached by telephone at 964-3042.

The NCSA is currently looking to expand their carpet bowling program and hope to host the 2008 British Columbia Carpet Bowling Championships.  They encourage anyone interested in learning how to play to come down to the Centre and see their team “The Spoilers” play.

The Centre is open from 10:00am-noon and seniors are invited to visit for some activities or just to have a cup of coffee.
